stigmatized non-anonymous: a public prayer blog for gainful employment, and an end to my disability

Beloved Presence of God, hear my prayer, to end my disability in day 1 of 9 days of prayer to Your faithful servant St. Joseph the Worker:

“Dear Saint Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety with my present inability to support my family. Please help me find gainful employment very soon, so that this great burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care (especially Mel). Help me guard against discouragement, so that I may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God. Amen.” (from A Prayer to St. Joseph for Employment–Our Catholic Prayers website)

And may you also help all who are also so afflicted by disabilities and unemployment, including all journalists whose craft is not highly valued now by society, in Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.

(I will continue to be off of Facebook until at least next month as a Lenten sacrifice, although this will automatically post on my page.)
